This essay looks at the differences between the two different versions of Invaders from Mars, the 1953 original and the 1986 reimagining by stalwart director Tobe Hooper. In 2020 Tafoya wrote a book, "Cinemaphagy", about Tobe Hooper’s films and has been exploring his work critically for many years.
